Get out of that comfort zone

There is a change in attitude towards work. My father having served a teacher in a government school for almost 30 years was shocked when I told him that one of my friends left his job to startup on his own. He was shocked at the fact that my friend is not going to have a stable income or a certain outcome out of this act. It was difficult for him to swallow that fact. He almost regarded him as foolish. But my father gave him that benefit of doubt. It was difficult for him to understand this new ideology, new way of thinking and implementing. But soon he understood.

This is not the case with just the yester-generation. A lot of young folks today have a similar ideology. Yes, they talk about new start ups and how it is booming in Indian cities like Bangalore but not many dare to take that risk to actually work on their idea. They use “responsibilities” of different stages of life as a reason to hold back. This can easily be achieved with a little bit of planning and understanding family members. Some others reasons be like “The idea is not robust. Its takes time to build”. Ofcourse the idea won’t be strong and well formulated. Any idea takes shape only after its put into action. Most of the top companies today did not start off with the same picture in mind as their company is today. We just keep changing to the changing circumstances and needs of the people and market. The only solution is actually to try and implement it and see the outcome. Gain that experience to succeed in future ventures.

Above all everyone is so settled in their comfort zone that they just resist any kind of change that comes. They are fooled to not see that the change can be good. If we don’t develop this attitude early in life it is only going to get more rooted into our minds to stay back and watch rather than experiment and experience. So yes. Get out of that comfort zone. Like I just did.
